WEC to air McCullough vs. Cerrone during Dec. 28 special on VERSUS

The as-yet-unaired "Fight of the Night" from November's "WEC 36: Faber vs. Brown" will be broadcast for the first time as a part of "WEC Best of 2008," a two-hour special set to debut on VERSUS Dec. 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

The WEC was widely criticized for not airing the preliminary bout between undefeated Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone (9-0 MMA, 2-0 WEC) and former champion "Razor" Rob McCullough (16-5 MMA, 7-3 WEC) in favor of a fight between Jake Rosholt and Nissen Osterneck.

When the bout won Cerrone and McCullough a bonus as the evening's "Fight of the Night," the criticism grew louder. Now the WEC will show the fight in its entirety.

The special will also feature replays of three other action-packed battles from the WEC's 2008 promotions.
