Kampmann chokes out McFedries in “Fight of the Night”
Lytle drops decision to Hughes
With an arm-triangle choke that left Drew McFedries unconscious, Martin “The Hitman” Kampmann won his eighth straight fight and earned “Fight of the Night” and “Submission of the Night” honors this past Saturday night at UFC 68: The Uprising in Columbus, Ohio.

For the second time in as many outings, Kampmann (15-2 record) was dropped by a punch in the first round only to rise from the canvas and pull off the victory. Unlike his last matchup, a three-round unanimous decision over Thales Leites at The Ultimate Fighter 4 Finale that was also awarded “Fight of the Night” honors, Kampmann was able to turn the tide within minutes, using a body lock from the clinch to take down McFedries (5-2) and working the side choke from there.

With victories over Crafton Wallace, Leites and now McFedries, Kampmann, from Denmark, is 3-0 in the UFC and has emerged as a legitimate contender to the middleweight title.

In a fight that was also televised on the UFC 68 pay-per-view, Chris “Lights Out” Lytle lost a unanimous decision to the former welterweight champion, Matt Hughes.
Hughes (41-5), in his first fight since losing the title to Georges St. Pierre at UFC 65, was able to repeatedly take Lytle (22-14-5) down and control the action on the ground. Lytle opened the first round with a flurry of punches and a tight guillotine attempt off a Hughes takedown, but the native of Indianapolis, Indiana was unable to keep the fight from going to the mat in the second and third rounds.

We are actively soliciting sponsors for our fighters that will be competing in upcoming events. We realize that the economics of the MMA fight game today dictate the need for fighter sponsors. As such, we send out post-fight sponsor packets with photos of sponsored fighter wearing sponsor logo on shorts and shirts and wearing sponsor company gear when applicable. The costs of sponsorship vary greatly depending on fighter and event.
