The Crow flies Back to UFC

Don’t call David Loiseau’s return to the UFC a comeback, because in his mind, “the Crow” never left.

“I really feel like (the UFC) is my home,” Loiseau told Versus.com earlier today. “I feel like I took a long trip away from my house, and now I am back home.

“I always had faith (that he would return to the UFC).”

Loiseau (18-8) will resume his Octagon career at UFC 97 on April 18 against Ed Herman (14-7). The fight will be extra special for him because not only will it mark his return to the organization, but it will also take place in his hometown of Montreal. However, Loiseau hasn’t competed in the UFC in almost three years, and wonders what the reception will be like from the fans.

“I don’t know how it’s going to be, you know, things change,” Loiseau said. “Of course, there is going to be a lot of Canadian fans in attendance, so I am going to have the home turf advantage, for sure.

“Maybe they will (remember him), maybe they won’t. But if they don’t, they will see something even better. So, no matter what they remember, they’ll be happy with what they see on the 18th. That’s a given.”

Loiseau signed a four-fight contract with the UFC in January. His dream to return to the UFC couldn’t have come at a better time.
