Brett Rogers shocks MMA world, knocks out Andrei Arlovski at Strikeforce

He came into the heavyweight mixed martial arts contest with a 9-0 record, but nobody really expected Brett "The Grim" Rogers to beat Belarusian sambo, boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend and former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovsky.

Did they?

It took 22 seconds of round one for Rogers to leave his mark on Arlovsky's conscience in front of 12,000 people, and 21 of those seconds were spent circling each other, waiting for the first punch to be thrown.

Arlovski, who has been talking about making a run at a heavyweight boxing title of late, seemingly bored with his lack of opponents after being KOed recently by the world's best fighter, Fedor Emelianenko, was crushed with a hard combination of punches to the head that had him slack-jawed and falling before he even saw what hit him.

"Baby's gonna get a new house," said Rogers. "Look at that. That's beast-like right there."
